Service Description

Discover the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors, mindfulness concepts and the role of nutrition for optimal holist health; A nature hike with a difference. A moderate-hard graded hike, starting in McCrae we follow a steep incline up the staircase and onto Latrobe Parade before joining the Bunurong track at the edge of Arthur's Seat State Park. This is where the fun starts! The winding track traverses the side of Arthur's Seat providing a challenging yet rewarding climb with scenic views across Port Philip Bay. Early morning sees local wallabies grazing to the side of the path and birdlife come alive. Taking a break when we reach the 314m summit, we will explore the Seawinds garden, providing the perfect opportunity to rest and discover mindfulness concepts and gain a little perspective. Continuing along the trail to the south, spectacular views across Port Philip Bays are offered and on a clear day, the view extends as far as the city skyline, the You Yangs, and Mount Macedon. Following the circuit around King's fall, this flows heavily in wet weather and returning along the same path to McCrae. • Start/Finish: Pt Nepean Rd, Dromana (near Anthony's nose) • Distance: 14km return • Time: Approx 4 hrs • Grade: Moderate with some obstructed trails, tree roots, and hill climbs • Bring: 1.5 L of water per person, any medications required, fruit/snacks + money or any purchase of coffee at chair lift & a positive attitude • Bring a pair of bathers/ wear shorts for a post-hike cool off in the Bay as I guide you through the benefits of water therapy for recovery An email is sent with all exact meeting locations and any other relevant information a day prior to departure.
