About the Event

A Sunday morning in mid-November to explore nature-based therapy interventions just before the 'silly season' to ensure that you are equipped with the skills to induce calm in any chaotic situation.

Distance: approx 12-14km 

Time: 3.5 hours of hiking 

Grade: Moderate with some sandy trails, sealed roads, and steps

Fitness: General fitness will ensure this is enjoyable for all. Plenty of breaks allow you to catch your breath and experience a more mindful approach to hiking.

Lunch: Portsea Pub lunch booking 12pm 

Point Nepean National Park sits at the Southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula. 

The 14.5km hike will take you past war relics and rugged coastlines to Point Nepean taking in views of the Bellarine Peninsula. With Bass Straight on one side & Port Philip Bay on the other, this coastal walk is a great way to explore the history of the Mornington Peninsula. 

On route to Pt Nepean and the treacherous waters of the rip, we pass Cheviot Beach where ex-Prime Minister Harold Holt disappeared in 1967, a number of gun turrets & Fort Nepean. There’s plenty to explore.

Undulating hills and sandy trails provide a challenging but achievable workout.

Take rest at the Fort Nepean as we walk through historic tunnels before returning along to the Quarantine station.

Throughout the morning, relax and enjoy nature therapy meditations and learn the importance of our natural environment on our mental and physical health.

Post Hike, we enjoy a seaside lunch at the Portsea Pub.
