About the Event
Enjoy a mini escape to one of the most beautiful places on earth. A remote place of great natural beauty allows you to be transported to yesteryear where you can enjoy white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters and for the brave, even take a sunrise dip. October we may be lucky enough to share the waters with the migrating humpbacks or southern right whales - a memory that will stay with you forever.
The hike to Little Waterloo Bay is a moderate graded overnight hike that allows you to experience the thrill of hike-in camping. The 11.9km hike into LW Bay starts at Telegraph Saddle carpark. A relaxed pace with breaks, the hike takes to camp takes approximately 4.5hours. Spend the afternoon walking the beautiful beach and relaxing with the small group.
Enjoy a sunrise swim in crystal clear waters before breakfast and the hike back to the saddle carpark.
A base level of fitness is required and this offers a great introduction to lightweight camping even if you have never hiked before. If you’ve ever wanted to head to the hills but didn’t know where to start, what to bring/buy or do it alone, this weekend is for you!!

The costs are inclusive of all food and hire provisions; cookware/dinnerware, tent hire, sleeping mat, headlamps, and poles for those who wish to use them.

All hikers are to carry their own packs and provisions. This is an empowering adventure where you learn the ropes of rewilding hiking trips.
