Enjoy an eco-therapy-based nature hike among the bushland trails of Devilbend Nature Reservoir, a seasonal nutritious lunch followed by a restorative yoga workshop to wrap up the day at the beautiful Warrior One studio.

About the Event

Devilbend Natural Features Reserve is part of an Aboriginal cultural landscape in the traditional Country of the Bunurong People. It’s a haven for waterbirds and walkers alike, just a short drive from the thriving coastal town of Mornington. The 12km hike circumnavigates the reservoir, the largest inland body of water on the Mornington Peninsula through lowland forest, and beautiful shoreline vistas.

Our mindful hike will take in the scenic trail as it winds around the reserve and offers several viewpoints to take in the local wildlife and woodlands. Spot the majestic, white-bellied sea eagle soar overhead as we learn to identify clouds or take a closer look at the inconspicuous ground that we walk on to learn more about the environment.

An easy-moderate graded hike, incorporating mindfulness, and conversation, the slower pace allows for connection and appreciate of the picturesque views &  energy of the coastal panarorama. Approx 12 km, the slow pace will see us complete the walk-in approx. 4 hours with breaks.

We will then enjoy a seasonal waterside lunch and I'll share info on how to support holistic health with Nutrition. Enjoy nature-based sensory exercises and discover the benefits of spending time in nature for our mental and physical health! A truly holistic approach.

Relax post-hike with Megan at Warrior One Studio on the Esplanade in Mornington. Stretch out and explore your body using Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls, yoga blocks, and self-massage infused with yoga. Zen out and discover new ways to ease tension and pain, improve posture and athletic performance as well as enhance muscle strength and flexibility during this 2-hour workshop.

7:45 am Meet at Devilbend Reservoir, Tuerong/ Moorooduc

8:00 am Start of 12km hike

12:00 am Lunch & Snacks provided

12:45 pm Head off to Warrior One Studio, Mornington

1:00 pm 2-hour yoga workshop run by Megan

3:00 pm Tea & Nibbles & wrap up of the day

Required: No hiking or yoga experience is required; however, a good level of fitness will ensure this is enjoyable for all.

Bring your own water. Layers are best to be worn with shoes with good grip recommended.

Facilities: Toilets at the carpark. Start/Finish

All-inclusive of lunch and snacks, attendees need only bring water.
