A bespoke hedonistic hike tour that takes us to the historic Wilsons Promontory lighthouse. The southernmost settlement on the Australian Mainland is a remote, rugged beautiful locale, perched on a small peninsula jutting out into the wild seas of Bass Strait.
Built in 1859 from local granite, the Wilsons Promontory Light station is a perfect place to experience the Prom’s rugged and spectacular coastal environment while staying in the comfort of the historic cottages next to the light station.
Enjoy platters and wine, showcasing some of Gippsland’s finest produce, all the more enjoyable after a day’s journey through the Southern section of the Prom.
We begin our adventure from the Telegraph Saddle Carpark, climbing through eucalypt forest and sandy, coastal tea-tree scrub to reach the light station via the gravel track. With 2 guides on this hedonistic hike, we offer an optional detour to venture to the Southernmost tip via the roaring meg or push on towards the lighthouse to kick back and relax.
With a comfortable bed awaiting after your hike, this is a great opportunity to discover the wonderful wilderness of the Prom and indulge with local Gippsland wines, cheeses, and produce whilst watching the sunset over the wild bass strait.
Includes:
All meals, snacks, wine, tea, and coffee for the weekend – dietary requirements met where possible
Cooking equipment required for weekend & water filtration devices for clean water on the trail
Guiding and managing your weekend experience, including mindfulness meditations and more
Accommodation at the lighthouse residence – bunk beds & shared rooms
