About the Event
An unforgettable multi-day hike through the rugged interior of the Grampians National Park, beginning and ending at Halls Gap will thrill and excite with majestic scenery. Over three days, two nights this 36km, experience dramatic mountain peaks, rugged rocky outcrops, remarkable panoramas and the ancient Aboriginal heritage of Gariwerd.
Start your Grampians Peaks Trail journey from Halls Gap and take in the stark beauty of the Wonderland and Serra Ranges. Traverse through the Grand Canyon, up Silent Street to the Pinnacle for stunning views over Halls Gap before setting up for the night under the stars at Bugiga Hiker Camp. Your second night's camp is at Borough Huts Campground, a popular spot close to Fyans Creek and Lake Bellfield.

Learn what products we have road-tested over 30 years of experience, what the best investments are, and what you shouldn’t skimp on. Immersive experiences where we teach you how to cook with limited provisions, why you want lightweight meals, and how to maximize flavour and nutrition from food. Enjoy the simplicity of hike-in camping with 3 meals a day and snacks provided.
Challenging terrain will test your mental aptitude, we hike in all-weather to build strength, resilience, and to empower through collective comradery and fortify your sense of accomplishment. Of course, there will be rest stops to enjoy the terrain we cover.
A training guide is available in addition the option to attend training hikes to ensure that adequate fitness requirements are met. Whilst the days cover no more than 14km, the trail is undulating and packs add to the resistance/intensity. There are plenty of breaks, time to wind down; however, having a good level of fitness will ensure enjoyment for yourself and the group.

With some very steep sections and many obstacles, this is an experience for fit and well-prepared hikers.

Day 1: Halls Gap to Bugiga Hiker Camp
8.6km, 5 hours Climb from Halls Gap via Splitters Falls and the Grand Canyon to the Pinnacle before heading south to Lakeside Lookout and Bugiga Hiker Camp. This trail offers commanding views for most of the way.
Day 2: Bugiga Hiker Camp to Borough Huts Campground
13.8km, 5-6 hours Ascend through tall Messmate forest and a maze of sandstone outcrops before crossing a bridge over the Gate of the East Wind and climbing to the summit of Mount Rosea. Descend through sheltered forest to Borough Huts Campground.
Day 3: Borough Huts to Halls Gap
14km, 5-6 hours Walk along Bellfield Lake via Bellfield Track and the Terraces Fireline on your way to Halls Gap.
